The closure includes all 14 branches of Holland Casinos in Amsterdam Center, Amsterdam West, Utrecht, Rotterdam, Scheveningen, Groningen, Zandvoort, Leeuwarden, Nijmegen, Valkenburg, Enschede, Venlo, Eindhoven and Breda, until Feb. 9, unless another extension follows.
Dutch residents have been told to “stay at home, limit contact with others and work from home,” while making the extension decision announcement.

“The extended lockdown will have a major impact on society and the economy. These are difficult times for business owners and employees alike. We must pull together to help each other come out the other side,” the Government commented.
Dutch residents have been urged not to travel or book any trips until at least March 31. They also said that individuals should only leave home to get essentials, walk dogs, get fresh air, and avoid anything that isn't crucial to living.
In addition to Holland Casinos, establishments that are to remain closed are shops (aside from food shops), contact-based offices including hair and nail salons, indoor sports facilities including gyms, pools, saunas, spas, restaurants, cafes, theaters, casinos, zoos, amusements parks, and, sex shops (legal in the Netherlands). Hotels are still open but hotel restaurants and room service are closed.
Exercise is allowed, albeit alone or with one other person. The government has also pleaded with its citizens to avoid the use of public transportation excerpt for essential purposes. The only professions that have been allowed close contact with the Dutch are medical professions and allied health professionals who are allowed to carry out work.
